Eustace Wilken

Eustace Wilken serves as the Competition Director for the Young Soloist Music Competition. He joined Yamaha Music SA seven years ago as the Product Manager for Band and Orchestral Products.

Over the years, his role has expanded to include heading up a professional Brass and Woodwind Service Centre at the World of Yamaha in Sandton. With a lifetime of involvement in music and the music industry in South Africa, Eustace is also a professional musician.

His vision for a music competition that is accessible to all talented musicians, regardless of their background or level of training, has been seven years in the making, with 2024 being the inaugural year.

Eustace hopes that the competition will resonate with music teachers, learning institutions, and musicians alike as it grows and finds its place within the South African music education landscape.
